The City of Culver City has the exclusive right to buy the ex-Sony Pictures campus. The creative office campus was owned by Hackman Capital Partners, until Michael Hackman’s outfit defaulted on its debt, and Fortress Investment Group took over. Fortress Investment Group declined to comment, and Culver City did not immediately respond to a request.
