Farmers Insurance is under investigation for how it has doled out settlements for the wildfires that torched thousands of homes in Altadena, Pacific Palisades and Malibu. Los Angeles County has launched a probe into how the Woodland Hills-based insurer handled claims related to the Eaton and Palisades fires in early 2025, the Los Angeles Daily News reported. The county is investigating potential violations by Farmers of a state unfair competition law.
