Los Angeles County is putting the brakes on the development of artificial intelligence data centers. Amy Bodek, director of the Los Angeles County Department of Regional Planning, ordered an immediate halt to new facilities in unincorporated areas while the county works to make the prohibition permanent, KABC reported. The temporary ban is expected to stay in place while zoning amendments move through the county bureaucracy.
