An affordable housing project in Claremont just got an eight-figure boost from the county. The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors approved up to $20.3 million in bond financing for Mercy Claremont, an affordable development from nonprofit developer Mercy Housing slated for 1364 North Towne Avenue, Urbanize Los Angeles reported. The Mercy Claremont project is expected to cost $47.6 million in total to build. Los Angeles County previously awarded $3.4 million for the project last year, Urbanize reported.
