More single-family homes in Los Angeles may be headed for demolition to spur a multifamily development.  Hinterland Projects, acting through an affiliate, filed an application with the Los Angeles Department of City Planning to replace four existing homes in Palms with a seven-story building at 3648 South Empire Drive, Urbanize Los Angeles reported.  The building would include 33 units with floor plans ranging from studio to three-bedroom apartments.
