Los Angeles and Orange counties are on track for a multifamily development boom, with apartment plan filings hitting a 10-year high. Builders filed 16,643 permits for multifamily units from January through August for L.A. and O.C. counties, an 82-percent jump from the same period last year, the Orange County Register reported, citing figures from the U.S. Census Bureau.
