A private members club is denying each and every allegation CIM made against it, and claims it does not owe the hundreds of thousands of dollars in back rent and several million dollars in damages the landlord is seeking, according to recently filed court documents. CIM sued a social club called the Gathering Spot in June over rent in the West Adams district, a historically Black section of Los Angeles where the company has been credited and critiqued for its redevelopment projects.
